OpportunitiesPhD students - general enquiriesWe
always welcome
contact from
students interested in PhD studentships. If you would like to work with
us, email the relevant group member with details of your interests and
experience. Studentships typically become available between Christmas
and Easter, and we suggest you get in touch as soon as possible to
stand a chance of obtaining funding. Enquiries from students who
already have funding, or who plan to apply to an external funding
organisation (e.g. foreign government), are welcome at any time.
Masters by research (MRes)We welcome applicants for
our MRes courses in Ecology, Animal Behaviour and Conservation Biology. These courses centre
on a major research project, designed in collaboration with a specific
supervisor, and also contain modules in generic research skills. The
idea is to equip students with the skills needed to enter a career in
ecological or behavioural research. If you are interested, you should
read about our research on these pages, select the member of staff
whose interests match yours most closely, and contact them by email.
Tell us a bit about your background and what kinds of research excite
you, and we can discuss possible projects. You can find out more about
the MRes scheme here.
