Research Interests

The main purpose of my research is to understand the processes by which species can coexist within biological communities. I study this by making computer simulations of natural systems. This involves analysing the effects of spatial structure in communities produced by changes in the competition rates and interaction ranges of the species. Through this I hope to find spatial mechanisms that will allow species to coexist in the long term.
